Tesseract Art Installation
Is a 5x5x5 foot Infinity Mirror Art Sculpture of a 4th-dimensional cube or Hypercube which made its debut at Burning Man 2023, created by Mirror Artist Nicky Alice. A Tesseract is to the cube what the cube is to the square. This is made using a precise arrangement of specialty mirrors and LEDs. The outer shape is a cube along with the undisclosed inner workings creating a multi-dimensional effect representing a fourth dimensional cube, or Hypercube. Tesseract is extremely popular amongst all festival goers and within the Science, Physics, Mathmatics and Sci-Fi communities
My idea is to have viewers interact in a way where their amazement of the project will immerse themselves deeply in the appreciation of the unknown fourth dimension. Tesseract has been featured at many festivals including Art Basel, Texas Eclipse, PDXWLF, LiB, Moonrise, Eth Denver Etc.
Tesseract Specifications
- Tesseract is a night piece for festivals and requires a dark environment for indoor or outdoor events.
- Tesseract has many custom LED Patterns which can be creatively programmed.
- Tesseract has a foot print of 60”x 60”x (62” tall)
- Requires one dedicated 20amp circuit.
- Tesseract rolls into place easily and has a cover for daytime.
- Crew requirement 2 people for loading and strike approx 1 hour to set up, no heavy equipment needed.
- Tesseract can be forked onto a platform.
- Tesseract is not climbable and not touchable and requires crowd control.
- Security must be present during showing.
- Tesseract can be on a timer
Ascension Art Installation
Ascension is a 7-foot tall pyramid, crafted from infinity mirrors, and will serve as an immersive kaleidoscope. Visitors can interact with an LED panel to project images that are fractalized, creating a dynamic display of light and color. The installation invites exploration, allowing each viewer to shape their own unique visual experience within its reflective depths.
Ascension will have a second part to it, which will include an immersive kaleidoscope which will have a live feed from the kaleidoscope to the LED panel in the pyramid which will allow visitors to interact with it, date of completion will be Burning Man 2025 for this aspect of the installation.
